EXPLANATORY NOTE

These pages are my attempt to set up on the internet the results of the work of my late friend Margaret Britton. The background story is that while traveling in Switzerland she came across the Ulrich Braker story and when she returned to work at Leeds University (where she was an academic librarian) consulted with the professor of german literature - Professor Gillies - who encouraged her to undertake a translation. The intention was that he would mentor her work and then publish the results online. Sadly first Professor Gillies, and then Margaret, died, after which the whole project fell into a hole. Eventually, partly as a result of efforts made by Margaret's sister Mrs Kate Grey of Cornwall the work Margaret had completed - and she had been scrambling to try to finish it before the cancer took her out - came out to me as someone with at least basic HTML skills. I have deployed those skills as best I can and these pages are the result.

I have noticed - and am obviously pleased - that they are getting an impressive number of web visits so they are evidently being found useful to someone(s) but I am far from happy that I have done justice to Margaret's efforts and would much appreciate consultation with anyone who could offer useful comment. My email address is keith@keithsayers.id.au - if you would care to send me an email I would be most pleased to hear from you. I would also be interested to hear from anyone who could host them better than I am doing. I am now 76 and would like to think that they could survive me .......
